IZC 2025 21st International Zeolite Conference

A e-CODUCT project team participated at 21st International Zeolite Conference – IZC 2025 organized by Chinese Zeolite Association and Jilin University in Dalian, China.

Dr. Marco Fabbiani (CNRS-ENSICaen) held a lecture on the topic of “Catalytic COS formation on Na-Faujasite for acid gas valorization”.  In the presentation the focus was on the eCODUCT technology for acid gas treatment, which proposes a novel two-step approach, first converting CO₂ and H₂S into carbonyl sulfide (COS) using zeolite catalysts, then transforming COS into carbon monoxide and elemental sulfur via an electrothermal reactor.

The 21st International Zeolite Conference aims to maintain the momentum of progress in both fundamental and applied sciences on porous materials. These materials span a broad spectrum, including microporous zeolites and zeolitic materials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), mesoporous structural materials and porous mixed solids. The conference topics include synthesis of porous materials, state-of-the-art characterisation techniques and modelling, catalytic applications, gas adsorption and separation processes, etc.
